Food Additive Usage Standards


Recently, the National Health Commission issued 47 national food safety standards including the "Standards for the Use of Food Additives".


In order to help the food industry deepen its understanding of the "Standards for the Use of Food Additives" and improve the level of compliance and scientific management of enterprises, the Kexin Food and Health Information Exchange Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Kexin Center") held an online promotion meeting on the "Standards for the Use of Food Additives" on March 28, 2024.


The meeting invited Associate Researcher Wang Huali from the Standards Office 2 of the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center to interpret it. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Xiuwen, Director of the Regulatory Affairs Department of the Kexin Center, and more than 100 industry representatives attended the meeting.


Associate Researcher Wang Huali from the Standards Office 2 of the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center gave a speech entitled "The Current Status and Progress of Food Additive Standard Management", which explained the management of food additives, the interpretation of GB 2760-2024 standards, and the analysis of issues related to food additive standards. In the interactive exchange session, the experts answered the hot issues of concern to the participating representatives and provided targeted guidance.
