Pulsatilla extract supplement is a powdered extract of the Ranunculaceae plant Pulsatilla chinensis (Bge.) Regel.


Chemical composition

Pulsatilla, Xing'an Pulsatilla, Korean Pulsatilla, and Pulsatilla tenuifolia extract supplements contain about 9% saponins (C45 H76 O20), which when hydrolyzed generate triterpene aglycones (C30 H18 O4), glucose, rhamnose, and an unknown sugar.


It also contains anemonin (also known as anemonin), a potent cardiotoxin. The entire grass, however, has a cardiotonic effect. Okinalin (C32 H64 O2) and Okinalein (C4 H6 O2) are cardiotonic components.



Cosmetic applications
Anemonin is the principal antibacterial and bacteriostatic active component of natural plant preservatives such as extracts of Pulsatilla and Clematis. Pulsatilla extract supplements had an inhibitory concentration of 1:12500 against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Diphtheria, and a concentration of 1:50000 against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It has a comparable bacteriostatic effect on E. coli and also works against gram-negative bacteria. It collaborates with Streptomyces and has potent fungicidal activity.


Efficacy and function


1. It can remove heat and cool the blood. Pulsatilla extract supplements are effective in treating hot toxic dysentery, malaria, bloody epistaxis, hemorrhoids bleeding, and other disorders.


2. It is insecticidal. Pulsatilla has the ability to kill insects. The extract of Pulsatilla chinensis or its aqueous solution can be mixed with the concentration to kill trichomonas vaginalis within 5 minutes in an in vitro anti trichomonas vaginalis test.


3. It has the ability to soothe and ease discomfort. Pulsatilla extract supplement contains anemonin, which has sedative, analgesic, and spasmolytic properties.
