Chemical composition
Sophora japonica L. and Flos Sophorae japonica L. contain basically the same chemical components, including many other chemical components besides rutin. Sophora japonica mainly contains flavonoids, including rutin, quercetin, isorhamnetin, genistein, sophoramicin, kaempferol, isorhamnetin-3-rutoside, kaempferol-3-rutoside, etc; Triterpenoid saponins include red bean saponins I, II, V, soybean saponins I, III, sophora japonica saponins I, II, III, etc.
