1.Introduction to raw materials

Hericium erinaceus extract is an effective active component extracted from the fruiting body of Hericium erinaceus. The main components of Hericium erinaceus are polysaccharides and Hericium erinaceus.

Hericium erinaceus (rullex F. pers.), It is also called Hericium erinaceus, monkey mushroom, monkey mushroom, wool mushroom, monkey head, hedgehog mushroom, hedgehog mushroom, monkey mushroom, etc. it belongs to the true  fungus. Its edible history is 3000 years and its nutrient content is rich. It is one of the eight "mountain treasures" in China, and it is called the four famous dishes in China together with sea cucumber, bear paw and bird's nest.

The fruit body of Hericium erinaceus contains 26.3 g of protein, 4.2 g of fat, 44.9 g of carbohydrates, 6.4 g of fine fiber, 10.2 g of water, 850 mg of phosphorus, 18 mg of iron, 2 mg of calcium, 0.89 mg of thiamine (B1), 1.89 mg of riboflavin, 0.01 mg of carotene and 323 kcal of heat per 100 g (dry weight). There are also 16 kinds of amino acids, including 7 kinds of essential amino acids.

2.Growth environment

The temperature range of fruiting body growth of Hericium erinaceus is 12 ℃ ~ 24 ℃, and 18 ℃ ~ 20 ℃ is the most suitable. When the temperature is higher than 25 ℃, the fruiting body grows slowly or does not form fruiting body; When the temperature is lower than 10 ℃, the fruiting body starts to turn red. With the decrease of temperature, the color deepens and has no edible value.

3.Origin distribution

Wild Hericium erinaceus mainly grows in the dead parts of the trunk of oak trees and other trees. It likes low humidity. It is distributed in almost every province in China. It is produced in the northeast provinces and Henan, Hebei, Tibet, Shanxi, Gansu, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Hubei, Guangxi, Zhejiang and other provinces (autonomous regions). Among them, the greater Hinggan Mountains in the northeast, the Tianshan Mountains and Altai Mountains in the northwest, the Hengduan Mountains in the southwest, and the Himalayas in Tibet are especially abundant.

4.Nutrition

In modern medicine, chemical analysis and pharmacological tests have confirmed that the main component in the extract of Hericium erinaceus is Hericium erinaceus polysaccharide, which is an effective active component extracted from the high-quality Hericium erinaceus fruiting body. This polysaccharide is composed of many monosaccharides in a specific form, which is non-toxic to the body and has various pharmacological activities.

5.Main value

Hericium erinaceus polysaccharide extracted by hot water has obvious inhibitory effect on sarcoma 180 and Ehrlich ascites cancer in mice, and has the functions of helping digestion and benefiting the five viscera. It has good curative effect on chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcer and other digestive tract diseases, and can improve the immune capacity of human body.

Since the 1970s, China began to study the extract of Hericium erinaceus, and made it into a mushroom slice or a mushroom preparation. It has been used to treat digestive tract ulcers, digestive tract cancers and hepatitis B, and has received good curative effects. Hericium erinaceus tablets contain a large number of polysaccharides and polypeptide bioactive components, which are outstanding in regulating the immune ability of the body, so they can effectively enhance the barrier function of gastric mucosa and duodenal mucosa, and can be used to treat peptic ulcer by using this property. After entering the gastric mucosa, Hericium erinaceus and its extract can reduce the release of lactate dehydrogenase, and the effect of gastric mucosal epithelial cells on lipid peroxidation is significantly enhanced. The reason is that the free radicals released by the growth of Helicobacter pylori are inhibited by the polysaccharides and polypeptides in Hericium erinaceus, and the activity is greatly reduced
