1. Diuretic & Anti-Edema Products
Atractylodes extract helps promote the excretion of water and electrolytes, with a particularly notable effect on sodium excretion. This property makes it suitable for products designed to help the body eliminate excess water, such as:
Capsules or tablets for people experiencing lower limb edema caused by prolonged sitting or standing – can be combined with ingredients like Poria cocos and Coix seed.
Solid beverages for morning facial bloating – recommended to be taken on an empty stomach in the morning.
2. Blood Sugar Management Support Products
Atractylodes extract has demonstrated certain blood glucose‑lowering effects in animal studies, primarily through mechanisms related to promoting glucose absorption and utilization. This direction is suitable for:
Postprandial blood sugar management compound capsules – can be combined with chromium, mulberry leaf extract, bitter melon extract, etc.
Nutritional support products for individuals with type 2 diabetes.
3. Immune Support Products
Atractylodes extract enhances the phagocytic function of macrophages, regulates T‑cell subset ratios, and increases interleukin‑2 (IL‑2) levels. These actions make it suitable for:
Immune‑boosting capsules or powders, particularly for people who are prone to catching colds during seasonal changes.
Nutritional support products after surgery or chemotherapy/radiotherapy (provided that the product itself complies with relevant regulations) – helps improve conditions of low white blood cell counts.
Daily immune maintenance tablets or gummies for the elderly.
| II. Quality Control |
![]() |
Our quality control for Atractylodes extract focuses on three key stages: raw material source, processing, and finished product testing.
1. Raw Material Sourcing
We consistently use the dried rhizome of Atractylodes macrocephala (family Asteraceae). Raw materials are sourced from contracted planting bases in genuine producing regions such as Bozhou, Anhui and Pan'an, Zhejiang. Before each year's harvest, spot checks are conducted for moisture and ash content. Before each batch of raw material is accepted into our warehouse, heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic) and pesticide residues are tested. Non‑conforming batches are directly rejected.
2. Batch Consistency
Retained samples are kept for 24 months for each batch, with periodic re‑testing of key indicators. Raw materials from the same harvest season are blended to ensure that batch‑to‑batch variation in active content is controlled within ±10% for year‑round supply. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) and an HPLC fingerprint are provided for each batch, facilitating customer traceability.
3. Production Compliance
Our facility is certified with ISO 22000 and HACCP. Products comply with the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (where applicable) as well as general quality standards for dietary supplement ingredients in the United States and the European Union. Non‑GMO statements, allergen declarations, and third‑party test reports can be provided upon customer request.
For samples or formulation advice targeting a specific application, please advise the intended dosage form (capsules/tablets/solid beverages/gummies) and target market. We will respond within 24 hours.
