Source of raw materials

Bupleurum root extract is a brown yellow fine powder produced from the dried root or whole grass of Bupleurum chinense or Bupleurum chinense narrow leaf. The common medicinal Bupleurum chinense is separated into North and South Bupleurum chinense, which are found in the provinces of Northeast, North China, Northwest, Central, and East China. As early as 1987, the relevant medical and scientific research departments in China used tablets containing flavonoids derived from Chaihu root extract to treat children's pneumonia, with amazing results.



Main components

Radix Bupleuri Extract is high in saikosaponins, fatty acids, sterols, eugenol, eugenol, and other beneficial components.



Main efficacy

1. Antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties


Radix Bupleuri Extract has a considerable central antipyretic and cooling action, and its active components are saponins and volatile oils.


2. Anticoagulation and depressurization


Saponins derived from Radix Bupleuri can lower blood pressure and heart rate in rats, and the effect is enhanced when administered intravenously.


3. Improve immunological function


Bupleurum root extract and Bupleurum chinense polysaccharide have immune-boosting properties.


4. For blood lipid, sugar, and protein metabolism, saikosaponin and sapogenin can lower serum cholesterol and triglycerides, while spinach sterol can lower blood cholesterol.
