Cistanche deserticola / Cistanche tubulosa is a plant of the Orobanchaceae family, and its dried fleshy stem is a traditional tonic ingredient. The core active components of Cistanche extract are phenylethanoid glycosides, with echinacoside and verbascoside being the two most important indicator compounds.

Raw Material Sourcing
We select the dried fleshy stems of Cistanche from Xinjiang as our raw material, sourced from standardized cultivation bases in core production areas such as Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. Each batch of raw material is subjected to species identification upon arrival to ensure authenticity, along with testing for moisture, pesticide residues, and heavy metals. Non‑conforming batches are rejected.
Production Process
The extract is produced through a series of steps including extraction, filtration, concentration, and spray drying. Key process parameters are monitored online and recorded to ensure intra‑batch consistency.
Finished Product Testing (Each Batch)

Third‑Party Verification
For export orders, third‑party accredited test reports are available in accordance with EU/US standards, covering heavy metals, pesticide residues, residual solvents, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and other parameters. Our products can be exported to Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia, and many other countries and regions.
| II. Batch Consistency |

Raw Material Blending for Homogenization
Within the same harvest season, multiple batches of raw materials are tested for echinacoside and verbascoside content and blended accordingly, ensuring a consistent extract base for year‑round production.
Fixed Process Parameters
Once extraction temperature, time, solid‑to‑liquid ratio, and spray‑drying profile are confirmed, they remain unchanged throughout the entire production season.
Internal Control Tolerance
Batch‑to‑batch variation of key indicators is controlled within ±8%.
Retained Samples & Traceability
Retained samples of each batch are kept for 24 months, and a fingerprint library is established. A complete traceability system is in place, allowing full traceability from cultivation, production, to testing. Customers can retrieve raw material sources, production records, original quality test data, and retained sample photos using the batch number.

Basic Physical Properties
Dark brown to yellowish‑brown fine powder, 80–100 mesh, with the characteristic odor of Cistanche. Water activity (Aw) is controlled at ≤0.35 to effectively prevent moisture absorption and caking. Bulk density: 0.45–0.65 g/mL, with good flowability suitable for automated filling.
Dosage Form Compatibility
Our Cistanche extract is a free‑flowing powder that can be adapted to multiple end‑product forms:
Capsules & Tablets: Can be directly filled or compressed with stable fill weight
Solid Beverages & Stick Packs: Good water solubility for rapid dispersion
Gummies & Jellies: Compatible with gel systems
Functional Beverage Premixes: Suitable for RTD beverage premix systems
Cosmetics & Personal Care: Cosmetic‑grade specifications available for creams, serums, etc.
Sports Nutrition & Energy Formulas: Suitable for protein powders, energy bars, and other products
Blend Compatibility
Mixing tests with commonly used excipients have been completed, with no significant degradation or caking observed. For special requirements, customized pre‑blending with anti‑caking agents is available.
Customization Services
Customized specifications are available upon request, including adjustment of active component content and particle size (60–120 mesh).
