Raw material introduction
Folium Isatidis extract is the dry leaf extract of Isatis indigotica
It mainly contains indigosides and other ingredients, and has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, immune enhancing, blood vessel dilating and other pharmacological activities. It is commonly used for warming evil, high fever, dizziness, rash, hot dysentery, mumps, sore throat, erysipelas, pain and swelling, etc. It can also be used in pharmaceutical, health product raw materials, herbal tea beverage additives, health food additives, veterinary drug raw materials and feed mixes.
Chemical composition
At present, the components extracted from the extract of Folium Isatidis mainly include alkaloids, organic acids, glycosides, etc.
1. Alkaloids
Indole compounds: containing indigo, indirubin, isatanB, and isoindigo. Quinazolone compounds: containing 4 (3H) quinazolone, 2,4 (1H, 2H) quinazodione and tryptophan.
2. The glucosinolates contain glucosinolates (glucosinolates), neoglucosinolates (neoglucosinolates), 1-sulfo-glucosinolates (1-sulfo-glucosinolates), adenosine, cytidine, uridine and guanosine.
3. Organic acids: salicylic acid, anthranilic acid, syringic acid, benzoic acid, palmitic acid, nicotinic acid, succinic acid.
Efficacy and function
1. Anti endotoxin effect
In vivo and in vitro experiments showed that the extract of Folium Isatidis had the effect of anti endotoxin of E. coli OmB4.
The in vitro experiment was carried out according to the bacterial endotoxin test. The results showed that the 1% solution of the chloroform extract of Folium Isatidis could still destroy the endotoxin after being diluted 64 times.
The in vivo experiment was carried out according to the pyrogen test method: Results The endotoxin after the drug action was injected at a dose of 40 units per kg body weight of rabbits, and no typical pyrogenic reaction could be produced.
2. Anti inflammatory effect
The experimental arthritis in rats caused by formaldehyde proved that the water extract of Folium Isatidis had obvious anti-inflammatory effect after gavage. This product can also inhibit the local skin inflammatory reaction of rabbits caused by xylene, and reduce the permeability of capillaries.
3. Antipyretic effect
The extract of Folium Isatidis can obviously lower the body temperature of rabbits with fever caused by the mixed vaccine of cholera and typhoid fever, and the temperature drop is fast and the toxicity is small.
