Active ingredient
The extract of Isatis indigotica contains indosyl- β- Glucoside, Isatin, Indigo, Isatin B, Uridine, Uracil, Hypoxanthine, Salicylic acid, Qingdainone, Daucosterol β- Sitosterol( β- Sitosterol), Isatis indigotica B, C and D. It also contains vegetable protein, resinous substances, sugars, sinapine, various amino acids and trace elements. The roots of kale contain anthraquinones β- Sitosterol.
Plant characteristics
A thick circular sheet. The outer skin is grayish yellow to yellowish brown, with longitudinal wrinkles. The cut skin is yellowish white and the wood is yellow. The air is slight, and the extract of isatis root tastes slightly sweet and bitter.
Efficacy and function
The extract of Radix Isatidis has the effect of anti-virus and anti infection, and has antibacterial effect on a variety of bacteria.
