Introduction to the raw material plants of Litsea officinalis
Lithocarpus litseifolius (Hance) Chun is a tree of Fagaceae, which can reach 20 meters high.
The plant is distributed in the provinces and regions south of the southern slope of the Qinling Mountains in China. It is a common tree species in the mountain evergreen forest. It likes sunlight, is drought-tolerant, and grows well in the secondary forest. The maximum growth limit is about 2200 meters above sea level.
The value of raw material of Lithocarpus litseifolius folium powder
The tender leaves have sweet taste and are sticky gum when chewed. Most mountain residents in the south of the Yangtze River use their leaves as tea substitutes, commonly known as sweet tea.
The sweet tea of Ilex officinalis appears to be ordinary green leaves, but the content of phloside in sweet tea is more than 5%, far higher than that in apple peel.
The mechanism of action of Lithocarpus litseifolius folium powder
The content of phloside and trefoil in the powder of Ilex officinalis and Foliaceae reached 60% and 40% respectively.
Trifolin is a natural sweetener. The increase of its content increases the sweetness of the product itself. On the one hand, it is beneficial to the use of diabetes patients; On the other hand, for non diabetes patients, as a general health care product, it can improve memory, maintain normal blood sugar levels, and has the effect of anti infection. At the same time, because there is no sweetener added, it will not increase weight, and it is friendly to people who lose weight.
The National Health and Family Planning Commission approved it as a new food raw material in the No. 7 advertisement in 2017. Consumption ≤ 10 g/day (based on dry products).
However, it is not suitable for infants.
