Raw material introduction
We choose the extract supplement of Andrographis paniculata as the dry aboveground part of Acanthaceae plant Andrographis paniculata, which is native to subtropical regions and is now cultivated in South China, East China and Southwest China
Chemical composition and properties
The supplements of andrographolide extract mainly contain diterpene lactones, mainly including andrographolide, neoandrographolide, deoxyandrographolide and dehydrated andrographolide, with the highest content of andrographolide
1. Andrographolide: also known as Andrographolide B, molecular formula C20H30O5, molecular weight 350.44. Colorless rectangular or rectangular crystal, extremely bitter mp. 230 ℃~231 ℃, easily soluble in acetone, methanol, ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform, ether, insoluble in water, petroleum ether, benzene
2. Neoandrographolide: synonymous with andrographolide C and andrographolide Molecular formula: C26H40O8, molecular weight: 480.58, colorless columnar crystal, without bitterness, mp 167 ℃~168 ℃, easily soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, slightly soluble in water, more difficult to dissolve in benzene, ether, chloroform
3. Deoxyandrographolide: another name of andrographolide A, molecular formula C20H30O4, molecular weight 334.44. Colorless flake (acetone, ethanol or chloroform) or colorless needle crystal (ethyl acetate), mp 174 ℃~175 ℃, soluble in methanol, ethanol, propanol soluble in benzene, ether
4. Dehydroandrographolide:, molecular formula C20H28O4, molecular weight 332.42. Colorless needle crystal (30% or 50% ethanol), mp 204 ℃, easily soluble in ethanol and acetone, soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in benzene, almost insoluble in water
5. Other ingredients: Homoandrographolide, Andrographon, Andrographan, Andrographesterin, Daucosterol, Melaleuca A, Wogonin, etc It also contains sterol saponins, sugars, condensed tannins and other phenolic substances
Pharmacological action
1. Enhance immune function Andrographolide sulfonate can enhance the phagocytosis of leukocytes to bacteria. It is also reported that Andrographolide can also enhance the phagocytosis of peritoneal macrophages and neutrophils of mice to Candida albicans or Staphylococcus aureus in vitro, and enhance the activity of lysozyme in mice's peripheral blood.
If it is used equally with leukocyte phagocytosis inhibitors such as gentamicin, tetracycline and erythromycin, this function of andrographis paniculata extract supplement will be weakened or inhibited.
2. Bacteriostasis 5% decoction has inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus; 20% decoction can inhibit proteus; 40% of the decoction can inhibit Pseudomonas aeruginosa, pneumococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, dysentery bacillus, typhoid bacillus, etc. The new andrographolide separated from andrographis paniculata extract supplement has the same clinical effect on bacterial dysentery as chloramphenicol and dysentery, without side effects.
3. Anti cancer effect Dehydrated andrographolide hemisuccinate Chemicalbook has a certain inhibitory effect on W256 transplanted tumor.
Dehydrated andrographolide disuccinate hemiester potassium hydrogen is prepared into arginine double salt (succinic acid for short). Whether in large, medium or small doses, it can inhibit the growth of tumor cells, and with the increase of dose, the effect increases, and the anti-tumor effect is real and stable.
4. Antipyretic effect Andrographis paniculata L has antipyretic effect on rabbit fever caused by vaccine.
5. anti-viral result Decoction of Andrographis paniculata can halt the decline of human embryonic kidney cells brought on by the orphan virus ECHO11.
6. Anti spirochete effect The crude crystal extracted from andrographis paniculata leaves has inhibitory effect on leptospira. Dehydroandrographolide lactose has therapeutic effect on leptospirosis, and is more sensitive to febrile type, Australian type and influenza typhoid type.
7. Side effects When taking Andrographis paniculata for 15-30g orally, nausea and anorexia may occur, and urticaria may occur in individual cases.
